About Consultative School Board
The Consultative School Board at Our Lady of Malibu School was established in 2009 by Fr. William Kerze to assist him and the principal in governing Our Lady of Malibu School.
Board members can come from various backgrounds such as current OLM parents, alumni, alumni parents, community members, and parishioners. These individuals must have a genuine interest in and dedication to Catholic education as well as a specific commitment to the mission and philosophy of OLM.
Board members are expected to be available for board meetings and periodic in-service programs, actively participate in committee work, uphold high standards of integrity and confidentiality, exemplify Catholic and moral values within the school community, and demonstrate a willingness to contribute to resource development programs.

Elisa became the principal of Our Lady Of Malibu this 2024-2025 school year.
Dawn Cunnion
Dawn and her husband Bob have lived in Malibu and have been OLM parishioners for 22 years. Dawn earned a BS in Elementary Education at the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater, an MEd in Educational Administration with an emphasis on private school leadership at Loyola University in Baltimore, and her EdD in Educational Administration and Policy Studies at Arizona State. She is currently the Associate Head of Brentwood School. Prior to this position, she served as Brentwood’s Lower School Director and Assistant Head of School. Dawn began her career as a 4th through 6th Grade teacher at St. Rose of Lima School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, which is where she also began her administrative career as a principal. While serving as principal of St. Rose Dawn was the recipient of the Marquette University School of Education Award for designing and implementing field experience programs for undergraduate students. After leaving St. Rose, Dawn went on to be the principal of St. Clement School in Chicago; Director of Admissions and Financial Aid and Director of Communications at McDonogh School in Baltimore; Admissions and Curriculum Consultant at Phoenix Country Day School; and Head of the Lower School at Laguna Blanca School in Santa Barbara. She is a member of the honor society Phi Kappa Phi. In addition to serving on the Our Lady of Malibu School Board, where she was the chair from 2011-2015, she also served on the Loyola University – Baltimore School of Education Advisory Board from 2014-2018 and 2021 to present, and as a trustee of Westmark School from 2010 – 2021. Dawn returned to the OLM School Board in 2019 where she serves as the Board Chair.
Debra Domeyer
Debra and her husband Jerry have been OLM parishioners for over 20 years. Their twin daughters, Jacqueline & and Nicole, attended the OLM school from K through the 8th Grade. Debra participated in multiple roles both on the School Board (2015-2018) and as coordinator of the Liturgical Ministries (2016-2018). Debra is a senior-level executive and technology leader with a focus on digital media, blockchain, artificial intelligence, financial products, and startups. She has over 25 years of experience in managing and developing global teams with demonstrated success in monetizing online businesses from start-up to $500M+ revenue. Debra served on the Executive Council of inLA Innovate (in partnership with the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation) on promoting Los Angeles County as a leading global center for innovation and entrepreneurship. Debra was named one of the top 25 CTOs by InfoWorld Magazine, has been listed in the ComputerWorld Premier 100 IT leaders, and was nominated as a finalist for the Los Angeles Business Journal “Women Making a Difference” award. Her public sector career included serving in the White House where she was responsible for providing worldwide communications for the President, Vice President, and the United States Secret Service. She’s been a member of the Los Angeles Giving Circle committed to strengthening Los Angeles communities through effective philanthropy and civic engagement and has served as an Advisor to WINTER (Women In Non-Traditional Employment Roles), a national leader in diversity workforce development and education.
Fred Felten
Fred was born in Southern Indiana. He found his way out to California by taking a job in Agoura Hills after graduating from Purdue University with an electrical engineering degree. Fred was born and raised Catholic and has been a member of the OLM parish for over 20 years. He was married at the church and his two younger children were baptized at OLM as well. They now attend school at OLM in the 4th and 6th grades.
Pam Litz
Pam has lived in Malibu and has been an OLM parishioner for 35 years since marrying her husband, Paul Litz, in 1986. A graduate of Mount St. Mary’s College, Pam taught English and occasionally math at Hawthorne High School for 18 years. She also served as head of the English department there until her son Jonathan was born in 1987. Jonathan attended OLM from K-8 during which time Pam was basically a full-time volunteer at the school and occasionally a substitute teacher. She received the honor of being named OLM Volunteer of the Year in 2001 when Jonathan graduated. Jonathan went on to earn a Ph.D. in chemistry and now works for Microsoft, is married, and has two children, all of whom are Pam’s pride and joy. Currently, Pam participates in OLM’s Bible study and has also served in the RCIA program as a catechist for several years. Pam loves to travel and is a big fan of the Olympics (and of pin trading), having attended fifteen of them so far. God willing, she hopes to be a volunteer at the Olympics in Los Angeles in 2028 as she was during the Games here in 1984. Pam has served on the OLM School Board off and on through the past three decades and is honored to be back on board.
Nick Hale
Having grown up in the Thousand Oaks / Westlake Village area, Malibu has always been Nick’s go-to place to visit the beach. After completing high school at Westlake High, he moved to Newport Beach and lived there from 1986 through 1993. He completed his AA degree at Orange Coast College and started a couple of businesses as an entrepreneur. After returning to Malibu in the early 1990s he continued his education in business finance at CSUN and went through real estate school to ultimately pursue a career in real estate investment. Nick worked as a personal trainer in Malibu and Beverly Hills while attending school and started investing in real estate in 1996. Nick met his former wife Jennifer in Malibu and they wed in 1998. They have two beautiful daughters Leighton and Carrington Hale. During their 20-year marriage, he finished his BA degree in business finance and worked as the CFO of two family-owned businesses, Santa Barbara Magazine and C California Style Magazine from 2005 through 2014. All the while Nick was investing and building their real estate portfolio managing all their rental properties. Nick went on to start Hale & Associates, LLC (a real estate investment company) to engage in larger projects by buying and selling investment properties in Malibu and Beverly Hills. He continues these ventures today. Nick’s mother brought him as a Christian. He attended Calvary Community Church as a youth, then went to Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa. While in Santa Barbara they worshiped at a church called Reality. When he came back to Malibu, Nick discovered a new church, Calvary Chapel Malibu, and as a long-time believer, Nick quickly became involved in the church and was asked to serve as a Deacon to oversee the finances and give a few sermons. Nick’s passion grew while serving and a tour of Israel during his tenure deepened his faith. When their first daughter reached school age in 2011 it was important to Nick to have God in Leighton’s education. He had Leighton start her education at Saint Aiden’s pre-school. Then Nick and Jennifer started looking at grade schools for Leighton and her younger sister Carrington. Jennifer’s family had strong ties in Santa Barbara and recommended Marymount School. Shortly thereafter, the family realized it was too difficult to try to live in Santa Barbara and work in Malibu. That was when they discovered Our Lady of Malibu. Immediately after touring the school, they decided to make the move back to Malibu. The girls have been attending OLM for the past 3 years. Leighton graduated 8th grade in 2023 and Carrington is in the 6th Grade.
